Randall S. Rapp

Randy began practicing law in 1976. He career includes commercial litigation, general counsel and business executive, not-for-profit board member and officer, arbitrator, and mediator. Since 1982, Randy has been a member of the Commercial and Construction Industry Arbitration Panels of the American Arbitration Association. He became a member of the AAA Commercial and Construction Industry Mediation Panels in 2012. He has arbitrated or mediated several hundred commercial and construction disputes. During his first 24 years in the private practice of law, among other things, he was an equity partner at Foley & Lardner; tried substantial commercial and construction cases in federal, state, and arbitral tribunals; represented construction companies, architects, real estate developers, and building owners; and litigated many pro bono immigration and international human rights matters. During a 10-year stint as a Vice-President and General Counsel of a mid-sized, national manufacturing and distribution company, he served as a member of a small executive team that made the decisions on all significant business, financial, and legal decisions. He was a co-founder of the National Immigrant Justice Center in Chicago and continuing member of its Advisory Board. Randy served as a Board member and officer of several other not-for-profit legal services, social services, conservation, and condominium organizations. He is Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the American Bar Foundation, as well as a member of the Association of Attorney Mediators.
