Jim Shea

Jim Shea is a Mediator and Arbitrator with over thirty-five years of litigation and ADR experience. Jim’s ADR practice focuses on construction, commercial, and insurance coverage disputes.  Jim relies on his over twelve years of experience as COO, CLO and CRO for nationwide telecom and fiber installation companies to creatively empower businesses to evaluate and resolve their risk through ADR.

During his time as CLO and CRO, Jim established and led the Legal Department, Claims Department and oversaw the Human Resources Departments for multiple companies, including two entities recognized as Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies. As a member of the C-suite, Jim was also strategically engaged in operations and and risk analysis on matters ranging from multimillion dollar municipality-wide fiber projects to employee misclassification class actions.

Jim is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, and a United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Certified Mediator. He is also a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator and a panel member of the AAA.  Jim is a Member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. He is a graduate of Boston College (B.A. 1987) and the Emory University School of Law (J.D. 1990).
