Aileen R. Schwartz is Senior Vice President, General Counsel Americas, and Chief Privacy Officer at Hill International, Inc., formerly a publicly traded worldwide construction management and project management company that was taken private in 2023.  At Hill, where she has been since 2008, Aileen’s responsibilities include reporting on a broad range of legal and business issues as well as contract and lease review and negotiation, litigation management, mergers and acquisitions, advising on construction law, employment law, insurance coverage, human resource investigations, implementation and compliance worldwide with privacy laws, and response and prevention to cyber security breaches.

Prior to joining Hill, Aileen was General Counsel to The Quaker Group, a privately owned company which specialized in real estate development and construction.  She also served as President of Quaker Construction, Inc., Human Resource Coordinator, and Corporate Secretary to The Quaker Group. 

Aileen has served as a AAA Arbitrator since 2022 for construction, real estate, consumer, contract, technology and privacy matters.  She served as an Arbitrator for the City of Philadelphia from 1992-2008 and as a Mediator for the City of Philadelphia for civil and matrimonial cases from 1990-1991.  Aileen is a frequent speaker on arbitration related issues (from the in-house and the arbitrator perspectives), as well as on topics including government contracts, construction, insurance, real estate, leases, privacy, cyber security, ethics, eDiscovery, litigation, and employment law.

Aileen is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the University of Pennsylvania, College of Arts and Sciences.  She is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. In addition, Aileen has the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) privacy certifications, and the IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) designation.
