Mission

ACT-ADR aims to promote and support business-focused dispute prevention and resolution initiatives as legal, commercial and risk management tools leveraging our combined business and legal experience.

Objectives

  • Bring together professionals with deep legal and business experience and insight in service as arbitrators, mediators, settlement counsel and advisors for domestic and international commercial disputes.
  • Offer administering institutions and selectors a resource when seeking professionals with broad-ranging, first-hand business, transactional and financial experience identifying, preventing and resolving domestic and international commercial disputes.
  • Inform legal professionals and business executives of dispute resolution and prevention solutions for commercial disputes, business loss and risk management.
  • Collaborate with legal, business and risk management executives to develop and advance effective and efficient dispute prevention and resolution processes to meet the needs and objectives of businesses and the executives who lead them.
  • Promote business-focused best practices for identifying, evaluating, mitigating and resolving domestic and international commercial risks and disputes.
  • Serve as a networking forum and a support organization for arbitrators, mediators, settlement counsel, and business executives and advisors engaged in preventing and resolving domestic and international commercial disputes.
  • Identify and mentor less experienced business executives and lawyers engaged in avoiding and resolving commercial disputes.
